<p>Fred Kohler Holbrook was born and raised on a dairy farm where he learned the value of hard work. He holds a B.S. in business management from the University of Utah and an M.S. from Columbia University in hospital administration, achieving Fellowship in the American College of Healthcare Executives. Now retired from a career as an administrator in both small and medium-sized hospitals, and later as a CEO in charge of large medical centers, the author enjoys researching genealogy, writing, skiing, backpacking, and marathon running.
