Pairables, 53 short stories that link to the Bible's Old Testament, is a book of contemporary short stories for children ages 6 - 14 that illuminate accounts from the Bible. In these modern parables, Talia, age 13, Mika, 10, and Chloe, 7, are full of big ideas and bold curiosity. Through every adventure (and misadventure), they discover treasure in God's Word - truth that sets their hearts free. Each story illuminates a specific account in Bible history and includes a reference to pair the story to the Bible or an age-appropriate Bible history book. Author Information

Jas Lonnquist is a screenwriter with hundreds of produced credits in film, television, and video for production companies, Silicon Valley corporations, museums, non-profits, and faith-based organizations. Jas is also the author of the fun and lively Pairables, 53 short stories that link to the Bible's Old Testament and Pairables 2, 53 short stories that link to the Bible's New Testament for children ages 6 - 14. She and her husband, Michael Klebig, volunteer in ministry and humanitarian aid under the banner of 3031 Media, promoting education, wellness, and offering the gospel to underserved populations. They divide their time between vibrant Silicon Valley (idea factory), a 19-foot camper van (inspiration factory), and glorious South Lake Tahoe (a desk with a view and a nearby trailhead!), where they savor every minute of family time, hiking, skiing, snowshoeing, kayaking, camping on the beach or in the Sierras, games, music, and visits with friends (and the occasional curious Tahoe bear).
