Overview

After assisting our Mother who suffered with Alzheimer's for a decade, and then my Mother in Law; I was surprised with the lack of information readily available for the afflicted or their caregivers. 7 months ago, my neurologist diagnosed me with early onset Alzheimer's, so I begin my own personal journey. I wanted to assemble a respectable amount of information in one writing so people had it readily available to them through this journey. It is my hope that through the telling of my Mothers journey, and my Mother in Law, and now myself, that this information will help make this period more comfortable for others while they make their ways through this mind field.

Author Information

Bob L Roberts wrote this particular book, as the subject matter is very close to him. He lost his Mother to Alzheimer's, his Wife's Mother is in the grips of it now, and he was diagnosed early onset earlier this year. Bob has written 2 other books, also non fiction, sharing experiences in life he feels others can benefit from. After a long and successful career in the death care industry, and subsequent stints as an expert consultant-investigator-witness in a number of landmark class actions, but chose to write his first book about the controversial goings on in the funeral and cemetery industry. He then wrote a book for kids, Big Boys DO Cry-help for grieving kids, from a stance of having experienced it as a 15 year old kid, and having observed this in his career. Bob is 61 years old, a husband and the father of 2 beautiful and talented your girls who have excelled in music and won numerous contests in Texas. He was born and raised in a small town in Oklahoma, and has traveled the world in his career, starting in the military. He likes golf, football, and watching his girls grow into mature young women. His wife Beckie is now caring for her Mom, with Alzheimer's in Colorado, and Bob intends to join her in this quest within the year.
