OverviewWhen I realized that Pain might actually kill my wife, I started writing. The words that came to paper were like peculiar stones mined from the deep. Agony drove us into dark, lost places that people rarely go. We found many strange and rare rocks. And I would draw them up and out of the depths and lay them out in the sun and we would soak them in pools of tears. Then they shone some and we cut them into bizarre and enchanting shapes and polished them a bit. When I had enough for a necklace I strung them together and showed them to a few people and those people were stunned and began to understand what my wife was living through. They said it might help people who are suffering. I just wanted to record for my kids what a wonderful Mom they have and, if she survives, I want us to never forget how truly BAD it all really was.
