Author Information

The author spent many years training people in emergency care and training teams for emergency rescue in the Pacific Northwest. This includes training emergency trainers, and training for the Canadian Coast Guard, the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Society, St. Johns Ambulance, the British Columbia Workers' Compensation Board, and private emergency training companies. He received paramedic training in Los Angles, California and was involved in emergency rescue competitions as judge, coach and competitor. He also worked with a private ambulance service and spent many years as an Industrial First Aid attendant and coordinator for the Ministry of Forests and Lands in British Columbia.
