Author Information

Lorenz Schrenk and his wife, Ann, reside in the Twin Cities area of Minnesota. The Ozzie series had their origin in bedtime stories told to their three children and four grandchildren. The author is a retired research scientist and manager and a railroad historian. He has degrees from The George Washington University and from The Ohio State University. He served in the U.S. Navy during the war in Korea and later helped start one of the first Montessori schools in Minnesota. He has co-authored five volumes on the history of the Northern Pacific Railway and written many shorter articles. He especially enjoys creating stories that both entertain and help to educate children. Margarita Sikorskaia comes from St. Petersburg, Russia, where she studied arts and graphics at the Hertzen State Pedagogical University. At age twenty-two she moved to the United States and continued her career as an artist, with numerous exhibitions throughout the country. Since 2009, Margarita has primarily worked as a freelance illustrator.
