Lots of study guides I buy just seem to just end up collecting dust, but the fact my son is actually using this book shows its worth. It breaks unseen poem analysis down into knowledge, retrieval and practice. Through each of these sections it has helpful exam tips, revision tips, key terms, highlighted 'remember' points and also cross-links backs to other relevant pages. * Amazon * The Unseen Poetry is beautifully crafted, I wish such a textbook was made available when I was studying for my ‘O’ levels! I particularly like the way sample answers are provided which demonstrate weaker possible answers against stronger ones. These helps the candidate plan to structure responses better. This is further complemented by the, ‘Examiner’s Comments’ where the reader appreciates better what it is that the examiner is looking for to attain top marks. This is an excellent book to support you through your AQA GCSE English Literature, cannot recommend it highly enough 5 stars! * Amazon * High praise as it’s actually getting used! The strategies for picking out key themes and techniques are very useful, and the comparison section is brilliant. I went from struggling to write a full analysis to scoring high marks in my mocks. * Amazon * Author InformationLyndsay has been teaching English for over 22 years, and in that time has held many roles such as Trust Director of English, Head of English, and Lead Practitioner.
