Overview"The Oxford Literacy Web is a literacy programme designed to guide schools successfully through the primary years. Fitting the requirements of the National Literacy Strategy, National Curriculum in England and Wales, English Language 5-14 in Scotland, and Common Curriculum in Northern Ireland, the Literacy Web guides pupils through the core skills associated with learning to read and write with a diverse range of literary styles within the genres of fiction, non-fiction, rhymes, language and poetry. In the Duck Green School stories, part of the Fiction Strand of the series, early school experiences are brought to life through a cast of characters. Children can enjoy their own ""soap opera"" while learning specific vocabulary in context. Each stage of the Duck Green School Stories offers a workbook, designed to reinforce the vocabulary at each stage and develop reading, writing and comprehension skills at word, sentence, and text levels. The workbooks include a record sheet for keeping track of a pupil's reading and development, and assessment quiz sheets for each stage. This pack contains six copies."
