***** - Essential for the bookshelf. Occupational Medicine With contributions from the leading lights in the field, this is exactly what it says it is. The foreword is written by national director for Health at Work, Carol Black, who describes this handbook as an authoritative resource; it is indeed. Nursing Standard Content and presentation are excellent throughout, with an uprecedented amount of carefully graded, latest updated information to find and use immediately in every kind of urgent need, whether for immediate hands-on usage or training/testing situations. This handbook is essential for serious students of occupational health as well as those already responsible for workplace life and health at all and any levels. RoSPA Occupational Safety & Health Journal Oxford Handbooks series seems to have succeeded again; this book is comprehensive in coverage of a range of areas in occupational health, and has ready references for most topics. Those working in clinical OH practice would certainly benefit from having this book available in their clinics. s ...this book is a fine addition to the occupational physician's library; they may need to keep it chained because there will be many members of the occupational health team who will want to borrow it Jean Ross, sciencedirect.com
