Author Information

THOMAS TUNSTALL PhD is the director of the Center for Community and Business Research in the Institute for Economic Development at the University of Texas at San Antonio, USA. Dr. Tunstall has spent a significant portion of his career on workforce and economic development assignments overseas in locations such as Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Kenya and Zambia. Closer to home, he has worked with small-to-medium sized businesses across a wide variety of industry lines in the US, as well as with Fortune 1000 organizations in the telecommunications, hospitality/tourism, and information technology sectors. His background includes work in economic research, statistical analysis, forecasting, strategy development and operational implementation. He holds a PhD in Economics and Public Policy, and an MBA from the University of Texas at Dallas, as well as a BBA from the University of Texas at Austin.
