Overview

This book is a prequel to a book I wrote over a year ago, Outline of Budo Science. Budo Science is the term I use as an encapsulation of six decades of my training, research and findings in martial arts. That book, rather being a technical teaching book, it is one that is chock full of principles and concepts. Skill in any one of them can take your art to the next level. This book takes you through my journey from Karate and Arnis to Budo Science. I have always been a martial arts nerd. I've always wanted to find out the why behind any move or application. One thing is that in my research, I never stuck to only Karate and Arnis. My research has ranged from both internal and external Chinese arts to Indonesian, Russian and Filipino arts to American boxing and wrestling. Some I trained in, some I studied their principles and concepts. I felt there had to be some sort of connecting thread between all martial arts. And I found them.
