It was in Bristol that she met and married her husband, Norman. In 1963, they migrated with their twin sons to Western Australia, adding 4 more sons and 1 daughter to their family. April and her husband of 64 years now live in Albany on Western Australia's stunning south coast. They have 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Over the years, they've had their fair share of 'house guests, ' including guinea pigs, ducks, chickens, cats and numerous rescued dogs.
