OverviewAfter working years at an IT job she hates, fifty-one-year-old Julie Summers found it a blessing when she and several coworkers were laid off. Moving in with her daughter and two grandkids, she struggles to find more meaning in her life. Heartbroken over the betrayal of her boyfriend, Chris, she sets out to work at a remote orphanage in South America. Life changes drastically the day Julie arrives at the orphanage. The village has been raided by a ruthless drug cartel, and Julie now finds herself at the center of kidnapping and extortion. And the village shaman frightens her with his dark probing eyes. Back home, Chris's heart breaks for Julie and asks her to return home. Julie, however, is unaware of the traumatic events that have turned Chris's life upside down. When Julie's bad judgment triggers a horrific event, she is ready to pack up and head home. And she misses Chris terribly. The shaman tells her she must stay. Will Julie's deep guilt compel her to leave or will she stay and discover why she came to the village? 2 Full Product DetailsAuthor: Judy LundquistPublisher: Fulton Books Imprint: Fulton Books Dimensions: Width: 15.20cm , Height: 1.70cm , Length: 22.90cm Weight: 0.390kg ISBN: 9798892218177Pages: 290 Publication Date: 02 February 2026 Audience: General/trade , General Format: Paperback Publisher's Status: Active Availability: Available To Order We have confirmation that this item is in stock with the supplier.
