Overview

After working years at an IT job she hates, fifty-one-year-old Julie Summers found it a blessing when she and several coworkers were laid off. Moving in with her daughter and two grandkids, she struggles to find more meaning in her life. Heartbroken over the betrayal of her boyfriend, Chris, she sets out to work at a remote orphanage in South America. Life changes drastically the day Julie arrives at the orphanage. The village has been raided by a ruthless drug cartel, and Julie now finds herself at the center of kidnapping and extortion. And the village shaman frightens her with his dark probing eyes.
