Table of ContentsReviews""In Orphan Pods, Britta Jensen crafts a dystopian world so vivid and brutal, you can practically feel the desert heat and the weight of survival pressing down on its young heroes. Toref and Idris aren't just fighting for freedom-they're fighting to reclaim family, dignity, and a future beyond the cruel grasp of the city's underworld. The novel is packed with heart-pounding tension, from daring rescues to high-stakes gambles against ruthless casino bosses. But what truly sets Orphan Pods apart is its emotional depth. Jensen doesn't just explore hardship-she delves into the resilience that grows from it. Themes of trauma, forgiveness, and found family are woven beautifully throughout, making every small victory feel monumental. Toref's determination to save his sisters and Idris's struggle to trust again give the story its emotional core, and their ragtag team of survivors adds humor and warmth amid the darkness. Though loss is inevitable in a world this harsh, Orphan Pods never loses sight of hope. The ending is a triumph-not because everything is easy, but because these characters have fought for a future they finally believe in. A gripping, emotional adventure, Orphan Pods will break your heart and stitch it back together with hope."" --P. J.
