Gwen Tenney founded the Academy of Opportunity based on the principle of ""educo"" which means to educe, draw out or develop from within. After having taught students from kindergarten through college age, she started to realize something was missing. These students were programmed environmentally to behave in a certain way and to reproduce information that was given to them from the outside-in. They lacked the understanding of how to think from an internal, success perspective and a practical opportunity for real application of success principles. They were missing the understanding about who they were at the core and what potential was available for them in the process. She began the search for answers about how to change the paradigm of outside-in education and ultimately change individual and cultural results through a transformational thought process and understanding of the mind and learning from inside out. This search lead her to intensive self-study after years of traditional education and professional development. The real beginning was found with the John Maxwell Team in a study and certification of leadership training, but that soon lead to a study of Bob Proctor and his accumulation of over 50 years of mind development research. The study with the Proctor Gallagher Institute then lead to a study and certification process of the Laws of Success at the Napolean Hill Foundation. These are just a few of the thought leaders that Gwen has studied and continues to study with her husband Lyman, who also studies and uses these prinicples to train and coach athletes and students of every age. She brings this knowledge and understanding to you in a plethora of formats that, if taken with a true desire to succeed and faith that it can happen, will guide you to have whatever it is in life you desire.
