Reviews

The Oracle Primavera P6 Version 8, 15 & 16 EPPM Web Administrators Guide continues to complement the already impressive collection of project management concepts and software training manuals written by Paul Harris. The Oracle Primavera EPPM Administrator manual comprehensively covers the configuration and administration settings required to create and maintain a P6 database. The topics covered in the book are supported by the inclusion of training exercises, which can be undertaken at self-pace or delivered in a classroom environment. Paul's extensive experience as a project controls professional is reflected in the content of the book, with informative tips on the practical application of the software incorporated within the book's content. The extent of the material covered ensures that the book will continue to serve as useful reference guide once the initial exercises have been completed. I recommend Paul's latest book to anyone who wants to enhance their knowledge and understanding of the Primavera P6 application. The presence of Paul's books in many organizations tasked with successful project delivery is a testimony to their value to the project management practitioner's community. - Jan Hanak, Managing Director, Keen Science Pty Ltd. The P6 Administrators Guide by Paul Harris is an impressive tour de force into the concepts and functionality of P6 administration. The guide contains 16 chapters of essential information that P6 users will require to get the most out of a complex scheduling tool. The task of setting up P6 in a new environment is a considerable challenge and there are many pitfalls to be avoided. Paul's guide takes a logical path through the many intricacies of P6 administration and helps the user by providing a series of workshops that demonstrate the functionality in a clear manner.
