Overview

This volume presents the proceedings of the first working conference of IFIP Working Group 7.6 with the working title Optimization-Based Computer Aided Modelling and Design. The conference took place in The Hague, The Netherlands in April 1991. The papers in the volume reflect the current state of research in areas related to the field of knowledge based decision support systems (KB)DSS, contribute to the dissemination and exchange of information on research topics, and describe practical experience related to designing, building, implementing and using (KB)DSS.
