Optimal Power Flow Methods for DC Networks: A Convex Optimization Approach

Overview

This book thoroughly examines the latest research on optimal power flow (OPF) studies in direct current (DC) systems, focusing on implementing various OPF algorithms using Julia software. It is tailored for both students and professionals in the field of power systems, covering essential topics such as power flow analysis and optimal power flow in monopolar DC networks. The book highlights exact nonlinear programming formulations and convex approximations, offering practical examples and hands-on experience through Julia's optimization tools. Optimal Power Flow Methods for DC Networks: A Convex Optimization Approach is a versatile resource that blends theoretical insights with practical applications. It equips undergraduate and graduate engineering students and industry professionals with the skills to effectively address modern power system challenges using advanced optimization techniques.
