Author Information

Barnes Carr has been a newspaper and wire service reporter and editor in Mississippi, New York, Boston, Montreal, Memphis, New Orleans, and Washington, DC, covering some of the biggest stories of our time, from the capture of the Boston Strangler to the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. He is the recipient of a 2013 William Faulkner Gold Medal for fiction. A graduate of Tulane University, he has lived most of his life in New Orleans and now resides in Houston. John Pruden is an Earphones Award-winning audiobook narrator. His exposure to many people, places, and experiences throughout his life provides a deep creative well from which he draws his narrative and vocal characterizations. His narration of The Killing of Crazy Horse by Thomas Powers was chosen by the Washington Post as a Best Audiobook of 2010.
