Reviews

"""The translations by House and Street's new collection represent an impressive range of 20th-century Italian theater and offer a commendable new addition to English-language material from this period. It will expand the available source material written by highly studied, seminal figures such as Dario Fo, Franca Rame, and Eduardo De Filippo, featuring new plays that will help to round out the English reader's understanding of their work."" - Dr. Michael Subialka, Powys Roberts Research Fellow in European Literature, University of Oxford (St. Hugh's College). From the Foreword: ""...this collection offers not only an engaging introduction to the wide range of recent drama in Italy, but also a varied adventure into the many possible dramatic worlds offered by that tradition."" - Dr. Marvin Carlson, The Sidney E. Cohn Distinguished Professor Graduate Center of the City University of NY. From a Peer Review: ""Thanks to Professors House and Street, the roots, trunk, and branches of mid to late 20th century Italian Drama, mostly for the first time, are here revealed... The high quality of this scholarship reflects the extensive knowledge, insight, and experience of the co-editors, House and Street."" - Dr. Rod Umlas, Professor Emeritus Beloit College"
