Recognizing the controversial nature of hunting, the author discusses how, in the past, some animal populations were over-hunted to the point of extinction and outlines some measures taken today to prevent that problem. Worthy updates. --School Library Journal Book Review: Turkey Hunting The book design is attractive, and the text is interesting and balanced. This should be a good book for sharing between father's and sons. It adds another dimension to the Thanksgiving Turkey unit as well. -- --A Mom's Spare Time blog -- If you have any small segment at all of your community that is interested in hunting, I can wholeheartedly recommend this series for your shelves! .
