Author Information

Stephen Mackenzie Wither (b. June 13, 1955, d. December 7, 2019) was a Scottish-Canadian science fiction writer, musician, environmental activist and political thinker. He lived in Vancouver BC working in the healthcare industry, and was a loving father to four children. His completed unpublished novel, Onyx, explores timely themes such as the impact of capitalism and colonialism, the beauty of human connection, and art as a means of spiritual purpose. His daughter, Elizabeth, published his novel posthumously so that the world could enjoy his story as intended. ELLE WITHER is the author of high fantasy series The Stargem Chronicles. She holds bachelor degrees in Music, History and Education. Growing up surrounded by the ocean, mountains and forests on Canada's west coast fuelled her imagination about fantastical things. Daughter of a science fiction author, she has been writing stories of her own ever since she was old enough to clack away on the living room typewriter. When she isn't writing, singing or teaching, she helps her husband chase around their three children in rural Ontario.
