He met his wife Gill at 17 whilst visiting Bristol and never left. They married and they have 5 children 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren . Bill spent all of his working life working on the buses and retired as an inspector. He started writing this book whilst he was still employed on the buses and he retired when he was aged 60.
