With Electronics you go from making potato batteries and voltage piles to building your first electronic circuits. You begin by using a multimeter: to measure the voltages of batteries, new and used to measure the current in potato batteries connected in series and parallel to determine the value of the resistor used to protect an LED from being fried by a nine volt battery. to solve circuit puzzles to use as a continuity tester. In so doing, you are preparing to build and more importantly debug actual circuits. Then on to building your first electronic circuits: a touch sensor, a simple oscillator that flickers an LED, light-blinking circuits and finally, of course, a LIE DETECTOR. The first circuit has three electronic components. The second circuit introduces one additional component, and so on. The kit includes a breadboard and uses zero ohm resistors as connecting wires, so no soldering is required.
