One Red Cat: the friends are introduced to the Hebrew letters

Overview

The adventures at Abraham McCarver's cabin seem to have become a common occurrence for Lottie and her friends. From The Red Shawl where the friends learned about Passover, to Under the Sukkah where they found A.Mac's notes on the Feast of Tabernacles, and Just One Pot where Mimetes recounts the lessons he learned at the pottery wheel regarding the Seven Spirits of The LORD, it is becoming evident that Abraham McCarver's cabin is a place to learn about God, Jesus, and The Holy Spirit. In this two-part story about Adom Chatul, the red caracal cat surprises the friends with his appearance at the seaside retreat. The group of them make fast friends as they explore both the Hebrew Aleph Bet and the bird population around the cabin. The friends learn just enough about the Hebrew letters to entice them to study and learn more. Unfortunately, Adom's passion for the blue-footed booby bird calls him away. He leaves with a commitment to return, setting up the sequel to One Red Cat, Two Blue Feet. As always, my stories incorporate lessons. This one includes The Kingdom of God, scriptural reference, and an introduction to the Hebrew letters. It is my desire that within these pages an interest becomes sparked. For assistance in studying the letters, the study guide that is synonymous with the Series Three: Schooled books is located in the back of this book. So why would a Christian feel drawn to learn Hebrew? In his book Hebrew Word Pictures by Dr. Frank T. Seekins argues, ""Hebrew is vital to understanding much of what Jesus said because those jots and tittles (in Matthew 5:18) are found only if you are reading in Hebrew."" He goes on to say, ""A Christian who doesn't understand his or her Jewish roots or Hebrew heritage will miss many of the wonders of what God has for their life. I have inserted in this book pages of valuable information on each of the twenty-two letters of the Aleph Bet, with additional helpful pages. There are pages of letter flash cards that can be photocopied or cut from the book. Watch for a separate workbook under the same title that will contain enhanced activities and learning opportunities. Happy learning. Please return for the second part of this adventure for a greater understanding of the profound insight Christians can glean from God's Aleph Bet. Miss Marion
