When I am honest with myself and God, I find that He stands ready to respond to every cry of my heart. This confident knowledge of God's faithfulness fuels hope in my heart and gives me the emotional strength to carry on through chronic illness and pain. I know, without a doubt, that God knows me and that even my doubt and fury do not surprise him. Throughout every challenge and disappointment, God is there, ready to respond. Despite, or perhaps through, the experiences of my life, I have been blessed to bring God's message of love and redemption to family, friends, and strangers. One More Mile continues Elizabeth Morgan's mission of providing hope to the skeptic, the discouraged, the cheerless, the disheartened. And while her candid exploration of her own suffering demonstrates a very real desire to find purpose and meaning in affliction, her humour ensures that the tone is never self-pitying or joyless. Elizabeth Morgan has been a storyteller for many years, carrying on a beloved family tradition. In One More Mile, she continues the biographical sketches that she started in Sunny Side of a Rainy Life, published in 2013. While her memoires outline her battle with kidney disease and other ailments, her ability to find the positive and humorous in even the most trying of situations help to keep her outlook positive-on most days. And even on the bad days, she has discovered that God's love carries her through every trial. Mrs. Morgan lives in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, with Ron, her husband of over fifty years, and she is the proud mother of two adult sons. She enjoys spending time with her husband as they take advantage of the sights and scenes of the beautiful city that they have made their retirement home.
