He was a well-known church leader noted for his wisdom and willingness to share his insights into the plan of salvation. Born and raised in Phoenix, Tom owned family retail stores and expanded that business throughout northern Arizona. He later joined a retail marketing firm in 1984 as an independent contractor and remained with them as a regional representative until retiring. Tom received a bachelor's degree from Northern Arizona University and an MBA from the Thunderbird Graduate School of International Management. He raised four children with his first wife, Betty, who died in 1993. Tom spent the remainder of his life with his second wife, Cheryl, in both Colorado and Arizona. Tom died in 2013 just after completing One Lord, One Faith, which is the culmination of Tom's study of the Gospel, Jesus the Christ, and God the Father.
