"My kids and I love this book! As the dad of a lovely young lady who loves to flip, the story is relatable, the illustrations are beautiful, and the message is powerful. My kids are inspired to follow their dreams, and I'm inspired to be the kind of dad who tells them that they can! Thanks again Crystel for sharing the first book in your series with my first graders. Having YOU read out-loud and then talk about the why and how this book came to be -is something my students understand. You absolutely, positively have added to their dreams and goals as they learn and grow. I can see how your book series will be a favorite among many. I am one of two grade one ELL teachers at my school. My students are beautiful shades of innocence, honesty and promise. We have used your book for different types of reading practice. We've done buddy reading, choral reading, echo reading, popcorn reading and independent reading. Learning to read can be a daunting task while learning to speak a new language. What I like about this book is all the high frequency words. Most of my Beginning Speakers can successfully and fluently read this book! This is an exciting time for some who use to say, ""I can't read."" Thanks again and keep in touch with us. As a little girl Ruby loves to do flips and other athletic feats. She has passion and talent and her mom enrolls her in a gymnastics class. Ruby loves it, works hard and starts to dream big. Where will her dream take her? All the way to the Olympics? This book is inspired by a true story! The story is told in rhyme with lovely illustrations. This book is the first of an inspirational series and I hope there will be many more to follow. I am obsessed with gymnastics so I was already excited to read this book when I saw the cover. This is a brilliant, motivational and inspiring book to not only give kids the boost they need to follow their dreams and do their best, but it shows that no matter what you're skin color or ethnicity, you can do literally anything. I enjoyed this book and so will young readers. If you are good at something you should always try to make it better. Never give up on your dreams. Especially if it's something you love try to get better at it and it can take you to higher heights. I also loved the illustrations. Great message. As a former gymnast I love this book! It's effortless rhyme scheme and vibrant illustrations bring the story to life. You get to see the character's progression throughout and the story has a great message. Perfect for the budding gymnast! Highly recommended This book is SO engaging! First of all, I am always looking for children's books that reflect diversity and inclusion so extra points for that. This is a great book about Ruby who starts off trying to find something to do on a rainy day and discovers flips/gymnastics. You will find her flipping all day, all over the place until she enters professional gymnastics classes. She goes on to be an award winning gymnast. Great book for inspiration of little ones!"
