Since 1987, she has advocated for equal rights in the arts, and her work has been celebrated by the Harlem School of the Arts, Radio City Music Hall, and Madison Square Garden. She is a colon cancer survivor and the author of a forthcoming memoir, Becoming Spectacular. She lives in New Jersey with her husband, Jeffrey. This is her first book. Robert Paul Jr. has a love for people and everyone's unique story, which feeds perfectly into his career as an illustrator and character designer.
