When the State of Israel claims to represent all Jewish people, defenders of Israeli policy redefine antisemitism to include criticism of Israel. Antisemitism is harmful and real in our society. What must also be addressed is how the deployment of false charges of antisemitism or redefining antisemitism can suppress the global progressive fight for justice. There is no one definitive voice on antisemitism and its impact. Jewish Voice for Peace has curated a collection of essays that provides a diversity of perspectives and standpoints. Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP) is a national, grassroots organization inspired by Jewish tradition to work for a just and lasting peace according to principles of human rights, equality, and international law for all the people of Israel and Palestine. JVP has over 200,000 online supporters, over sixty chapters, a youth wing, a Rabbinic Council, an Artist Council, an Academic Advisory Council, and an Advisory Board made up of leading U.S. intellectuals and artists. Judith Butler is Maxine Elliot Professor in the Departments of Rhetoric and Comparative Literature at the University of California, Berkeley. She is author of The Psychic Life of Power, Excitable Speech, Bodies that Matter, Gender Trouble, Frames of War, and coauthor of Contingency, Hegemony, Universality. Dina Pearlman was raised in Teaneck, New Jersey, and went on to attend Carnegie Mellon University. Based in New York City, this actress, stand-up comic, and Audie Award-nominated narrator of over 300 audiobooks is best known for her appearances in Sex and the City (as Ruby Rosen, jeweler extraordinaire) and several Spike Lee films, notably Bamboozled in the role of slick network TV consultant Myrna Goldfarb. In HBO's Bad Education, Dina portrayed Wendy, a member of the doomed Roslyn Board of Ed frantically attempting to cover up missing funds, and Gina in Bo Burnham's Eighth Grade, a sun-block-obsessed mom pulling partygoers aside to apply and re-apply. Dina is recurring on The Good Fight Season 5 as the lawsuit-averse rule-follower Katherine from Human Resources.
