OverviewThis unique book explains in great detail the esoteric concept of 'OM/Aum' and 'Naad' as they are envisioned and elucidated by the Upanishads. All the various connotations and aspects of 'OM' as well as the 'Naad' are elaborately dealt with. While 'OM/Aum' is a monosyllabic word that represents the cosmic Supreme Consciousness that is all-pervading and is at the core of the entire living creation, the 'Naad' is the sound created by the vibration that this Consciousness produces in the vast realm of the cosmos. The 'Naad', the cosmic Sound, is the first and subtlest manifestation of life created by the Supreme Consciousness in all its myriad forms, from the most primitive to the most advanced. The 'OM' is a means to realize this Consciousness. Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationBrief Life-Presently, Ajai Kumar Chhawchharia is working as an In-Charge/Manager of the world famous temple of the holy city of Ayodhya, called the 'Kanak Bhavan Temple'. He has been working in this temple ever since 1987. He has, meanwhile, taken a vow of not leaving Ayodhya for the rest of his life, come what may. Born on 8th August, 1955, Ajai decided to renounce the comforts and pleasures of the material world, remain a bachelor, and serve his beloved God, Lord Ram, in whatever little way he can. The charms of the material world lost their temptations for him. So, after the demise of his father in 1985, he left home for good, and came to take shelter with his Lord Ram at Ayodhya during the same year. The Lord however wished to make sure of His son's integrity, sincerity, faith and devotion, and so He put Ajai through a very severe test in the way of many tormenting long years of abject despair, misery, helplessness and haplessness. But the same Lord is so kind and loving that He himself helped Ajai, though silently and secretly, to pass these testing times in flying colours. Having helped him to pass the initial foreboding years of great misery, dismay, misfortune and an all-engulfing darkness, the Lord finally showed the world, through his instance, how excellently He takes care of His son, and makes this 'son' live like a prince in a way that is befitting His glory! The Lord indeed proved by the example of Ajai's tumultuous life how wonderfully and miraculously a man-who had never faced material hardships early on in life, who was born in a privileged family but whose life was suddenly thrown into a toss and flipped like a straw in a choppy ocean, a dismayed and helpless man who had nobody to call his friend in the world, a hapless man who had no hope of ever seeing the light at the end of the darkest tunnel one can ever imagine of, a distraught man who had a dark and bleak future staring blankly on his face in a horrifying manner, but who had blindly put himself in the care of the Lord without even blinking and who had jumped off the cliff of life in the yawning chasm of the unknown future simply relying on the Lord's holy name, relying upon the Lord's mercy, grace and love-is redeemed and crowned with a glory and honour that eludes even the most privileged men who might have the rarest of good fortunes at their disposal.
