Ollie's Pet Rescue is a story inspired by the real-life Oliver ""Ollie"" Puck, an adopted Basset Hound brimming with a larger-than-life personality. Ollie was rescued by a Connecticut couple who traveled to an Iowa animal shelter on Christmas Eve, 2017. They brought him back to their family farm filled with an assortment of unusual rescue animals including the characters from this story: Bug, the donkey and the horse named Hootie!The real-life Ollie leads an action-filled life as a licensed therapy dog, an advocate for pet adoption, and a promoter of pet-friendly products. He's a local and national celebrity featured on billboards, newspapers, and even a national magazine! Ollie is adored by young and old, and his social media presence reaches thousands of people across the country who support his many causes.
