Overview

Captivate toddlers and early readers with this picture book for children set in nature and bursting with butterfly hunts through the cycle of seasons, vibrant inclusive illustrations and lyrical language. Old Oak watches the spring rains sprinkle drop plop, the seeds sprout in the nearby field, and summer's twisty twirly curly vines become teeny tiny greenie pumpkins. When autumn arrives and Halloween nears, the children do not pick Little Pumpkin who feels sad and alone. What will happen to Little Pumpkin through the coming snows? Can Old Oak tree calm Little Pumpkin's fears? A timeless tale of trust, courage and reassurance for all Little Pumpkins, this story will calm the fears of anxious or scared little ones as they drift off to sleep, reminding them that we are never alone. Our Old Oaks -- family and Christian figures -- are there even when we do not see the love and care available to us. The author wrote a song to accompany the storyline and makes the song available to readers. Perfect for children age 3-5 and 6-8 as they read-out-loud.
