What fun! This is the cutest book, and one that will be a go-to purchase for your children, grandchildren, friends, neighbors, and those just-because gifts. These are confusing times for all of us, but even more so for our little ones who don't understand why they can't hug, play with their friends, why they have to wear that impractical mask, and, most of all, why-yikes!-everyone is talking about getting shots. Amy Nystrom breaks the current pandemic into its smallest parts and puts it into words that children can understand. She takes away their fear and gives them something to look forward to-the day that hugs, kisses, and play time with friends comes back! The use of these bright, endearing, and humorous illustrations and adorable animals to deliver the message is inspired. This one's guaranteed to become a family favorite. Author Information

Amy Nystrom was born in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. She later moved to Rockford, Illinois, where she attended Rock Valley College and received her associate's degree in nursing. She went on to earn her bachelor's degree in nursing from Northern Illinois University. She still resides in the area with her husband and two children. She works as a nurse at a local hospital and enjoys spending time on their family farm.
