Author Information

Dr. Mohammed Ismail Iqbal is a techno-managerial professional, who has hands-on experience from the classroom to the corporate boardroom, and everything in between. He is an engineer by training and a management enthusiast by choice. From being a team player in the oil field to a management consultant amongst the business leaders, he brings in the best of both worlds, be it related to education or corporate. He has been a part of many initiatives that started with a concept on paper and took the shape of full-fledged business operations on the ground. His consolidated work experience is more than a decade but by the virtue of the mentors he worked under, he was able to utilize time in multiplicity to gain the depth and quality of experience to add value to whatever he came across. His research papers are published in Elsevier, Scopus (Q4) Journal, peer-reviewed journals in area of general management, oil and gas, and IOT. Dr. Vamsi Krishna Kudapa is Associate Professor, working in the Department of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering, UPES, Dehradun since 2013. Before UPES, he worked as an Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Petroleum Engineering, at Sri Aditya Engineering College, Andhra Pradesh. He pursued his Ph.D. in oil and gas – modelling and simulation at UPES, Dehradun in 2018. In his 10 years of experience, labs like the Drilling Fluids & Cementation Lab and Petroleum Product Testing Lab were developed. In addition, a unique prototype model ""Digital Oil Field"" was developed at UPES in 2015, which is a combination of gas lift and oil-spill control mechanism apparatus. Presently, he has 35 publications, 2 patents, 4 book chapters, and 2 books to his credit. He is presently working on the modelling and simulation of unconventional gas reservoirs, solar energy applications in agriculture, nanoparticle applications in drilling fluids and cementation, and enhanced oil recovery.
