OverviewWilko Teifke has written a Protestant study about the basic theological insights of three very influential Catholics. In the 20th century, eschatology played a tremendous role in fundamental Protestant theology. This fact is revisited by Wilko Teifke in order to determine the significance of eschatology in selected concepts of Catholic fundamental theology. The author asks how the main definition of eschatology was treated in these circles by studying the basic theological thoughts of Romano Guardini, Karl Rahner and Joseph Ratzinger. Further, he studies the idea that the experience of unambiguous salvation is always a fragmentary one.
