Sarah van Heerden is an experienced editor, writer and humanitarian storyteller with more than 16 years in the nonprofit and media sectors. She is the long-standing Editor-in-Chief of Rotary Africa, a regional magazine affiliated with Rotary International. She has edited and published nearly 200 magazines and books. Her editorial work is guided by a deep belief in ethical storytelling that respects dignity, amplifies underrepresented voices, and celebrates real-world solutions. Sarah has worked across Africa and beyond, curating stories that connect global audiences to the people and communities driving positive change.In addition to her editorial career, Sarah is the CEO and Co-Founder of The Unity Water Foundation, a South African nonprofit focused on water access, women's advancement, and youth development.
