Suryasnata Tripathy (born 1991), is an engineer, a poet and a storyteller, presently working as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad. He writes poetry, short-stories and plays in Odia, Hindi and English. He has five Odia poetry collections and an Odia translation of Dharamvir Bharati's Kanupriya, to his credit. He was the recipient of the 'Kendra Sahitya Akademi Yuva Puraskar, 2017' for his acclaimed poetry collection 'E Samparka Emiti'. His theatrical productions include plays like 'Botal Arz Hai', 'Pardon', 'Last wish' and 'Generations'. Apart from this, Suryasnata actively writes scripts, screenplays and dialogues for short films and features.
