Darcee Douglas is the author responsible for Aiden Ashlyn, LLC, the publishing company and pen name of all her previous work. She is also a carpenter, musician, and creator who feels happiest and most at home playing in the ocean waves near Uvita, Costa Rica. Darcee enjoys writing books that educate, empower, and inspire readers to love and respect themselves and others. The Earth Love Series of children's books aims to foster a deeper love for all wildlife. She's passionate about coral reef restoration and dreams of creating an underwater sculpture that becomes habitat, providing future homes for coral reef communities in Costa Rica and beyond. Laurie Douglas is an award-winning artist and graphic designer whose professional career spans more than forty years. After earning her MFA in Illustration from the School of Visual Arts in New York City, she created work for such diverse clients as Coca-Cola, BusinessWeek, Forbes, United Health Fund, and numerous UnitedNations agencies.Laurie co-illustrated Exquisite Corpse: 124 Days of Sequestered Collaboration with her husband Tim Purus and Jessy Duval during the 2020 pandemic. Now retired from her design studio, she finally has time to work on more personal projects, such as her Monsters. Laurie Douglas is an award-winning artist and graphic designer whose professional career spans more than forty years.
