Alaa Abou-Arab is an occupational therapist, international speaker, activist, and CoFounder of kNOwBiaS, LLC, a research-based healthcare education and consulting organisation, working to remove racial bias in work and education settings. He is a practicing acute care therapist. He lives in Los Angeles, CA. Erica V. Herrera is an occupational therapist, clinical professor, and certified hand therapist (CHT). She lives in Loma Linda, CA. The Coalition for Occupational Therapy Advocates for Diversity (COTAD) is a non-profit organization that promotes Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (JEDI), anti-racism and anti-oppression within the occupational therapy workforce and increases the ability of occupational therapy practitioners to serve an increasingly diverse population.
