Overview

This study investigates the quantity and distribution of obsidian deposits in the Valley of the Volcanoes in southern Peru. A fieldwalking survey was undertaken and samples were analysed using Neuron Activation Analysis. 26 of the 45 findspots are identified with a reasonable degree of probability as the site of human activity.
