Overview

She's the only woman he cannot resist. Jerome Saint Yves has always put duty, hard work and family first. Just once, on the eve of returning to his homeland, did he heed his desire and spend an unforgettable night in the arms of a ravishing opera singer. Now his only goal is to make a name for himself as a Parisian architect. But the woman he thought he would never see again is much closer than he believes. Stella Cardinelli is a woman on the run. Pursued by a wicked lord determined to possess her at any cost, bound by a promise made to a dying friend, she flees London and crosses the Channel with a stolen heirloom in her pocket. The prestigious opera houses of Paris offer a fresh start, until she comes face to face with Jerome, the only man who made her understand the true meaning of passion. From the scintillating stage to the underbelly of the city, Jerome and Stella are swept into a storm of danger and fiery obsession. Author Information

Twenty years after studying history at the Sorbonne, Delphine Roy put her classwork to good use in her spicy historical romances set in Post-Revolutionary France. Before that, she spent a good part of her childhood on both sides of the Atlantic and started writing stories in French and English. Her teenage self may have posted them in online fanfiction forums that thankfully no longer exist.Delphine now lives in the suburbs of Paris with her husband and her son. She's a high school ESL teacher by day and an author by night of romance (in English) and fantasy (in French). In her free time, she enjoys cross-stitching, watching hockey and going down Wikipedia wormholes.
