Author Information

D K Sarkar had his Master's and Doctorate from the Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi. After a brief stint as a Scientist at Coromandel Indag Research Centre, Padappai, Tamil Nadu (now International Institute of Biotechnology and Toxicology, IIBT), he served Andhra Pradesh Agricultural University (now, Acharya N. G. Ranga Agricultural University) for over three decades. After retirement as a Professor, he served as the first Associate Dean of Sri Kinjarapu Yerran Naidu College of Agricultural Sciences, Andhra Pradesh (affiliated to ANGRAU) for over three years and played the all-important role in the foundation of the College from scratches. In SKYCAS, he with his penchant for teaching was intensely involved in classroom teaching, not with standing that a large chunk of academic, administrative, and establishment work is to be shouldered by an Associate Dean of a college in its formative years.
