Overview

This volume constitutes the proceedings of the FirstInternational Symposiumorganized by the Japan Society forSoftware Science and Technology. The symposium was held inKanazawa, Japan, November 4-6, 1993 and attracted manyresearchers from academia and industry as well as ambitionedpractitioners.
