Katarzyna Rygiel, MD, PhD, has a background in primary care and research/education. She is a graduate of the Medical University of Silesia in Poland, and she holds a certificate in Clinical Trials Design and Management from the University of California, USA, where she completed her research training. Her research interests are focused on patient-centered approaches, particularly in cardio-metabolic and neoplastic diseases. She has authored over 50 articles in various international medical journals, as well as two books. Her publications address current topics in cardio-oncology, especially in patients with breast cancer, and she promotes a synergistic approach, including medically necessary treatments and health-oriented interventions for patients suffering from chronic diseases.
