Overview

Isarwinkel - Werdenfelser Land - Bad Tölz - Rosenheim The area south of the Danube, which is located in the flat and hilly foothills north of the Bavarian Alps, is called the Bavarian Alpine foothills. It was shaped by the influence of the ice ages and is crossed by the rivers Iller, Wertach, Lech, Isar and Inn. This map depicts the area between the Isar in the west and the Inn in the east. The largest city in the region is Munich, which lies in the middle of the foothills of the Alps on the Isar and in this map on the northern edge. Sparkling blue lakes, an idyllic, hilly foothills of the Alps and the transition to rugged high mountains, traditional Bavarian onion-domed churches, cozy beer gardens - all this makes the Upper Bavarian Alps one of the most popular holiday regions in Germany. Experience the diversity and beauty of the Bavarian landscape: Idyllic lakes and numerous historic towns, such as the spa town of Bad Tölz, the idyllic Gmund am Tegernsee. Relax in the thermal baths in Bad Aibling and visit Rosenheim with the striking church tower of the Nikolauskirche. In this map, two important river cycle paths lead you northwards from the Alps to the Upper Bavarian foothills of the Alps: The Isar cycle path is shown in the western part of the map, which takes you via Bad Tölz and Wolfratshausen in the direction of Munich; in the eastern part it is the Inn cycle path, the Kufstein and Wasserburg connects. The Bodensee-Königssee cycle path runs across the hilly foothills of the Alps at the foot of the Bavarian mountains and offers a particularly enjoyable cycle tour - and all that with a constant view of a fantastic Alpine panorama. Cycle paths and routes with information about surface and traffic density. Selected street names. Precise gradient and distance information. Selection of the most important tourist information. Waterproof and tear-resistant paper. Thoroughly researched and permanently updated. With the cartographic route information you can start your trip confidently, because all the necessary information is already compiled for you: road surface (paved or unpaved), traffic density, hill slopes, distance information tourist infrastructure such as inns and lodging establishments, as well as the cultural and scenic attractions of the region.
