As a mother who understands the challenges families face during times of change, her kids were 5 and 2 years old. She wanted to create a book that helps kids feel loved, supported, and safe-no matter which home they're in. Leslie McCarten Gardner - After 40 years in British Columbia, Leslie now calls Nova Scotia home. She is a high school science teacher and tutor who loves the ocean, outdoors, family and animals.
