Dr. Quiana M. Shamsid-Deen is a devoted social worker, educator, social entrepreneur, and children's book author with a heart rooted in healing and storytelling. Born in Queens, New York, to Jamaican parents, Dr. Shamsid-Deen holds a Doctorate in Social Work from the University of Southern California and has spent over 15 years serving children and families with care, advocacy, and joy.As the executive director of the Supreme Family Foundation, she champions food security and wellness for seniors and vulnerable communities. Alongside her husband, she co-leads successful ventures in the restaurant industry and empowers Black women and communities through her consulting firm, NyaPearl Solutions.But it is through the pages of her children's books that Dr. Shamsid-Deen shares her most personal and profound journey.
