Overview

Nyansa's Latin curriculum is designed to provide an introduction to basic Latin vocabulary to students and to show the connection between the Latin vocabulary and common English words. The Workbook is designed to be used alongside our Year One Elementary Latin Teacher's Guide. It includes short fables, copywork, poems for memorization, writing and drawing exercises, and review pages. The curriculum works best when students can review the vocabulary words each week. Reviewing the material through flashcards and games will aid your students in improving their memory of the vocabulary. This workbook is designed to help your student practice Latin weekly. The English language uses many Latin roots and parts of words. Gaining an understanding of these roots and word parts will expand your students' vocabulary in English. It will enhance their language skills, reading skills, and communication abilities.
