It is extremely readable with definitions and examples provided and is broken up nicely with tables, etc. to clarify topics. There was a great deal of new material regarding collective bargaining, etc. that I had not seen to that extent in other texts. The activities throughout and at the end of chapters would make this a very instructor friendly text. The grouping at the end of each chapter for web resources was also much appreciated. I enjoyed the real world interviews and evidence-based literature sections very much; believe they could initiate a great deal of class discussion. Again the text was extremely easy to read; flowed well from topic to topic and was thoroughly covered following each heading. The chapter organization was done well. Beginning with the historical background or current background and then moving from theory to actual practice was very viable and students could easily follow and understand.
